NDUTA NJERU

Nduta is a 5th year Dental Surgery Student at the Moi University School of Dentistry. She is the current Vice President to the Moi University Students One Health Innovation Club (MUSOHIC). She also serves as the current Treasurer to the Dental Students Association of Kenya (DESAKE).

Nduta’s passion towards One Health has been growing day by day. She has learnt most of the things that pertain to Onehealth through activities carried out by One Health Club at Moi University in collaboration with other One Health Clubs in Kenya through the Africa One Health Universities Network (AFROHUN).

EDEL ODHIAMBO

Edel is currently a 5th year Veterinary medicine student in the University of Nairobi.She holds a position as the Secretary General SOHIC-CAVS and serves as a project manager at a Startup company (Dokutela).Edel is passionate about the one health concept because of its diverse nature as her interests are variant, she yanks at any growth opportunity she gets be it animal related, environmental, human related, medical … as long as it is for the good of the society and adds value to her existence.She also hopes to pursue the field of research and hopes to work with wildlife in the near future.

YASEER HAMZA

Yaaser Hamza, a 4th year medical student from the University of Nairobi. He is the founder of this unique project “The One Health Approach To Zoonotic Diseases.” He is passionate about communicable diseases, research, academic quality and teaching skills.

Currently he is an active member of the Medical Students Association of Kenya (MSAKE) where he is the:

  •     Local Exchange Officer for Professional Exchange

  •     Initiated The “COVID-19” Webinar series

  •     Co-leader of the COVID-19 Students Task force

SIMON OTEBA

Simon Oteba is a 4thyear B.Sc. in Environmental Health Student in Moi University School of Public Health. He is currently the President Moi University Students’ One Health Innovations Club (MUSOHIC) with which he holds the Student Projects For Health 2020 Award by The Network-Towards Unity For Health. Simon is also the co-founder of the Kinga Bora Initiative, a student organization advocating for better prevention.

SAMANTHA MUKONJIA

Samantha Mukonjia is a 5th year medical student at the University of Nairobi. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Anatomy.

She is passionate about advocacy and practices that promote a holistic approach to health, including One Health and Planetary Health. These approaches promote Inter/ transdisciplinary collaborations to develop sustainable interventions/innovations on health challenges affecting humans, animals, and the environment.

    Currently She Serves as ;

2.Vice President,Marketing-ISOHA

3.A Planetary Health Campus ambassadors [PHCA] 2020 (a competitively awarded leadership opportunity).

RODRICKY KIPLIMO

Rodricky Kiplimo is a 3rd Year Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine Student in the University of Nairobi.He cdurrently serves as the Projects Coordinator for SOHICS-CAVS.

He is a strong One Health enthusiast and has engaged in many activities around One Health in Kenya and Africa at large.He is a strong advocate for an Animal Health based One Health Perspective.He is passionate in utilising Technology to address emerging Animal Health issues.

​

He is also passionate in Politics and Emerging Technologies.

MICHELLE MAYUBA

Michele Mayuba Rachel is a 3rd year pharmacy student at the University of Nairobi. 

She is passionate about servant leadership and improving quality of health care in collaboration with other health and non-health related disciplines. 

She currently serves as the University of Nairobi, College of Health Science,  SOHIC Secretary.

Her hobbies include swimming, reading novels and watching medical series and horror movies.  

 

In future I would love to live a comfortable satisfactory life.

HARRISON OCHIENG

Harrison Ochieng is a 3rd Year Bachelor of Science-Nursing Student at the University of Nairobi. He is passionate towards Bio statistics, Big Data,Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.

He believes that a Transdisciplinary approach to healthcare is a basic fundamental in realizing Universal Health Coverage.

He currently serves as;

3.Founding Chairperson-Kenya Students Research Council (KeSREC).

4.Secretary;Research and Extension-Kenya University Students Organisation (KUSO).
